Refund & Lockdown Policy

Oceania MathsJam Gathering is run by volunteers — registration fees cover our venue hire, keynote speaker and tea and coffee which will be available throughout. Opt in extras allow us to coordinate transport and accommodation. The organisers will not be making any money from OMG, and can not afford to cover full refunds from our personal account if the event has to be cancelled last minute.

In the event of a nationwide or Canterbury-wide COVID-19 lockdown (or other forced cancellation), we will first aim to postpone the event. If this is not possible, or you can not attend the postponed event, we will do our best to retrieve committed deposits and refund as much as possible.

If the event is going ahead but you are sick or are told to self-isolate, according to government guidelines you MUST NOT attend the gathering. It will be up to the discretion of the organisers to offer either a full or partial refund for cancellation after July 20th depending on available funds — we will endeavour to be as fair and transparent as possible. This also applies if there is a partial lockdown that does not affect our venue and / or majority of attendees, or if you are otherwise unexpectedly indisposed.

Accommodation booked through us for the shared accommodation option will be subject to the Top10 Park COVID-19 Policy, which you can read here.
